Jolivet Race Village to Cutty Sark Hotel and Beach finish
- CP11 to CP12: CP11 at Jolivet Race Village to CP12 at Dumisa Farmers Association (Sawoti Police Station)
BRIEFING NOTES FOR YOU TO GIVE YOUR RIDERS WHILST AT CP11:
- Take the opportunity at Jolivet Race Village to stock your team up and allow them to drink and eat. If it is going to get dark soon maybe take this opportunity to remount lights, batteries and give appropriate warm clothing.
- Riders need to be aware that the road surfaces change from here. Fast cane roads are surfaced with decomposing granite. The traction of these surfaces are not great as their little round stones act like ball bearings. Watch those speedy corners.
- Support vehicles cannot follow your team between CP11 and CP12 as they cross a number of small bridges.
- YOUR RIDERS HAVE 23KM TO RIDE BEFORE YOU SEE THEM AT CP12.
SUPPORT VEHICLE DIRECTIONS: Travel Time: 22 min (18.2 km)
- Head back along the gravel road toward R612 for 450m
- Turn right onto R612 and continue towards the coast for 4 km
- Look for the Dumisa farmers Association and Sawoti Police Station signboards on your right
- Turn right off the R612 Tar road and follow the Dumisa Farmers Association signs. Keep left on the small road leading up. If you towards the for approximately 300m to the Farmers club

- Your riders will be on their own for approximately 23km.

- CP12 to CP13: CP 12 at Dumisa Farmers Association (Sawoti Police Station) to CP13 Illovo Cane Load Depot
BRIEFING NOTES FOR YOU TO GIVE YOUR RIDERS WHILST AT CP12:
- Riders will cross the R612 tar road approximately 600m after Dumisa Farmers Association Hall. Riders must stop and look left & right and make sure that it is safe to cross.
- Remember normal road rules apply at all time during sani2c nonstop.
- Support vehicles cannot follow your team from CP12 to CP13 as they head off into private cane Farms and Vernon Crookes Nature reserve which is impassable to vehicles.
- Riders will take over 60 minutes to get from CP12 to CP13. Make sure they well stocked up with water etc. They have approximately 28km to ride before you see them at CP13.
- Take a photo of your team at the feather banner at CP13 and be sure to WhatsApp it through to the race office as soon as possible.
- YOUR RIDERS HAVE 28KM TO RIDE BEFORE YOU SEE THEM AT CP13.
SUPPORT VEHICLE DIRECTIONS: Travel Time: 17 min (19.6 km)
- Follow the gravel road back to the R612.
- Turn sharp right onto the R612 and travel for 9 km
- Turn right of the R612 and drive down on to the Cane load zone 200m off the tar road.
- Your rider will appear from the North

- CP13 to CP14: CP13 at Illovo Cane Load Depot to CP14 at Freeway Pipeline
BRIEFING NOTES FOR YOU TO GIVE YOUR RIDERS WHILST AT CP13:
- Support vehicles cannot follow your team from CP13 to CP14 as many of the roads are impassable to vehicles.
- Ask your team to please stick together along this route. Please don’t give kids sweets or chocolates.
- Report any groups of excited kids being a menace to the local soccer team. They will be wearing their sani2c branded soccer jerseys. They will deal with any irritating youngsters. SAPS teams will also be present in this area.
- Riders will be following some of the Rocky Bay Trail network. This is all single track.
- Take a photo of your team at the feather banner at CP14 and be sure to WhatsApp it through to the race office as soon as possible.
- YOUR RIDERS HAVE 23KM TO RIDE BEFORE YOU SEE THEM AT CP14.
SUPPORT VEHICLE DIRECTIONS: Travel Time: 15 min (9.7 km)
- Head back to the R612 for 200 m
- Turn right onto R612 tar road
- Travel towards the coast for 10.5 km
- Turn left into a pipeline access road 50m before the onramp.
- Continue on this gravel access road running parallel to the on ramp for 200m where you will find CP14 feather banner.

- Your riders will be on their own for approximately 23km.
- Riders need to be aware that the road surfaces change. Fast cane roads are surfaced with decomposing granite. Watch those speedy corners.

- CP14 to CP15: CP14 Freeway Pipe Line to CP15 at Cutty Sark Hotel and Beach finish
BRIEFING NOTES FOR YOU TO GIVE YOUR RIDERS WHILST AT CP14:
- Support vehicles cannot follow your team from CP14 to CP15 as there are many narrow trails and areas not wide enough for vehicles.
- They have less than 10km left to complete nonstop.
- Feed them for the last time.
- The last 5 km is a new route and different from last year. Ask your team to watch carefully for markers.
- You may see your team riding along the Highway section of single track. Give them some motivation but don’t hang around with them for too long as you have to get onto the beach and cross the finish line with them.
- YOUR RIDERS HAVE LESS THAN 10KM TO RIDE BEFORE YOU SEE THEM AT CP15 and the finish.
SUPPORT VEHICLE DIRECTIONS: Travel Time: Travel Time: 12 min (9.0 km)
- Head in and southerly direction back towards the R612
- Turn left onto R612 and continue for 30m to the N2 on ramp
- Take the on ramp and continue on the N2 for 6.8km
- Take exit 110 from the N2
- Turn right at the Stop
- Continue for 1.1km to the T Junction at the P102
- Turn left onto the P102
- Travel only 260m on the P102 and then right into Link road.
- Find the Cutty Sark Hotel on your right
- Park your vehicle in the Cutty Sark parking area.
- Make your way through the hotel and onto the main beach where you need to cross the finish line with your team.
SUPPORTER TIPS AT CP15:
- Your riders will be on their own for approximately 10km.
- You need to cross the finish line together with your team. WELL DONE.
- Bike wash will be available in the parking area of the hotel.
- Meals will be available to all riders and registered supporters.
